Great thermos. Happy to drink from either glass or stainless interior thermos these days and get away from plastic. Love the bamboo design exterior. Easy to clean, no residual smells. Use for hot teas and cold drinks.
I've been looking for a eco-friendly stainless steel, water bottle tea infuser for quite some time. I've seen people with Yeti or Hydro Flask, those are made out of plastic and rubber and there 50 plus dollars. When I stumbled upon this I was skeptical like most oh, but I took a chance and it's worth every single penny! It comes with an infuser and you can put fresh fruit, tea leaves, coffee beans and make very wonderful Creations to drink. I use it for tea and it keeps it warm for 6 Plus hours, compared to drinking it at home where your tea goes cold and 30 minutes. You do have to screw the lid on reasonably tight so it does not leak. So if you decide to order it, it's worth every penny, wash it when you get home, fill it up with water leave about an inch for the infuser. And tighten the cap, then turn over to see if it leaks. If it does you didn't do it right LOL. I use this every single day, for work, personal use, and it's eco-friendly. Hope that helps everybody! :)
It leaked on my very first use. I barely turned it upside down and tea was coming from everywhere. It wet my desk at work and made a mess. Also, the functionality of it is kind of weird. I have to seep the tea, then take the wet strainer out, sit it on towels because it super wet & water is still running from it all just to drink it. I wish it had a spout but I was aware that it didn’t before buying. I just didn’t know how messy it would be. I’m disappointed because I love tea & this tumbler is so cute.Update:I believe the first item I was sent may have been defective. The sender was able to accommodate me, and in result I love this thing. Its so nice looking and seems to be durable. It is awesome at steeping both loose leaf and tea bags. I feel like I should hide this from my co-workers, someone new is "eyeing" it everyday lol. The ONLY reason that I didn't rate 5 stars is because of its functionality. I've figured out my own strategy to make this a little easier but its not made that way. If you want to steep and just drink, you can not. First you must remove the strainer then carefully drink. Its a slight hassle but worth it IMO.
Pros:- the two-layer filter inside is super useful (I wish I discover this type of filter earlier!). I can put loose tea leaves between the two layers; and since it's at the top of the bottle, my tea never gets too strong when water level is low.- removable filter layers. If I wanted stronger flavor, I can remove the deeper bottom layer (twist on), put tea leaves directly in the bottle -- the top layer can stop tea leaves going into my mouth.- easy to clean. it doesn't require extra long brushes, unlike small-mouth thermos; a regular bottle brush will do.- sleek design.Cons:- wide mouth means it looses heat faster. If a good quality small-mouth thermo bottle keeps boiling water hot for 10-12 hours, this one probably can do 5. (I have 3 bottles to compare). So it's good for office use, not good for overnight or camping.Overall:love it!
This is a very nice tumbler. I bought it to replace another bamboo tumbler that I had that had a cracked lid (I dropped it my bad) but it was another brand. I like the bamboo finishes rather than metal, glass or plastic.I have 2 complaints, one is that the edges of the lid are really sharp. They are not buffed down and they don't have any kind of rubber coating, cover or seal so if you're not careful you can get cut. My other complaint about this tumbler is there is a rubber gasket at the top and when you use really hot water it crates a seal and sometimes the gasket comes out. I haven't had any sealing issues yet but I fear over time the seal with deteriorate. It would be nice if the tumbler came with additional gaskets but we'll see how it goes.
I bought the stainless steel/bamboo version and it's just lovely. I see a lot of negative reviews for this item mostly for those that purchased the glass version. I have to wonder why anyone would buy a glass travel tumbler? I mean not only is glass fragile, but it is also not a good insulator. The stainless steel/bamboo version does a good job at keeping my tea hot and it's durable and well made. I would recommend this to anyone.
I bought this cup for my husband as a gift. The cup is well designed, keeps tea hot and easy to clean. After 2 months of use, the top can unglued. It was no longer eligible for an amazon return, so I reach out to the company directly with no response. I would have tried the product again if customer service would have responded.
