These little teacups are perfect for a single serve teabag or for pouring from a teapot. They look and feel very delicate, but so far they've proven to be sturdier than they seem. They're extremely lightweight and finely curved, but the handle is a nice size and shape that makes them easy to hold.
What a JOY these cups are! I decided I wanted smaller mugs for tea and also wanted a smaller teapot. I had NO IDEA how much I needed these. Reasons:1. The mug is cool to the touch on the outside because it is keeping the heat inside. I live in Florida. I love hot tea, but couldn’t stand holding a hot mug in the summer. Problem solved.2. It keeps the tea hot for a LONG time. I was in the habit of drinking my hot tea fast so it wouldn’t get cold on me. Another problem solved. Now I am getting to really thoroughly enjoy my tea at a pace I love.3. The little hole on the bottom makes the cup not sweat - no coasters necessary. Now I can walk around the house and put my cup down wherever, saving time.Buy these. You need them if you love tea.One more thing - these will also make fabulous cappuccino cups. And thanks to the fact that the glass doesn’t absorb flavors, I can use them for both espresso and tea. BONUS!!!
These are great cups for tea. If you heat the water in the microwave they keep the tea hot for a very long time. They are easier to clean than stoneware or china because they do not stain. The handle does not get hot and they do not require a plate underneath them to protect furniture. They look nice and you can appreciate the color of the tea. They are more delicate than ceramic mugs because they are light and can be knocked over easily when empty. I would recommend hand washing.
These are beautiful and functional - wonderful to look at and use. So far, after a half dozen uses, they've held up well in the dishwasher (hand washing is recommended but top rack is ok). They are actual glass, though, and lightweight, so treat them nicely.UPDATE: After more than two dozen trips through the dishwasher, the glassblowing plug has begun to leak on two of my four cups, allowing water to seep into the space between the insulating glass walls. So I have removed one star and highly recommend hand washing only.Overall, though, I'm very pleased to have serendipitously discovered Teabloom. Their tea is superb, too.

These are so incredibly lightweight, yet they keep my coffee/tea warmer than my other heavier opaque ceramic cups. I was amazed! Love!I looked through many different double walled glass cups with handles, but this seemed to have what I was looking for--a handle that makes holding a full cup of coffee/tea comfortable because it's balanced to the bowl of the cup. I also like that the top rim of the cup is not as "thick" as the base-makes the cup easier to sip, without spilling. It is ergonomically designed.The smooth finish and good clarity of the glass truly adds enjoyment to the coffee/tea experience. The glass is very good quality.Oh, also, my parcel arrived so well-packed, that they were all intact, unbroken! (not EZ with any type of glass product).Bottom line: This cup will keep your hot beverage warm, yet remain comfortable in the hand when filled with hot coffee/tea. The top rim is "just right" for sipping a hot beverage--not too wide. The smooth clarity of the glass adds an extra visual appeal to enjoying coffee/tea too. When summertime arrives, these cups would be great for cold drinks too.PS. I bought 2 more sets as gifts bcuz these are such high quality and very important: so nicely packaged and presented. This is my second order for these cups. Yesterday I knocked over a previously purchased cup from my armrest which is 26" high, I picked it up from the rug and put it in the sink to be washed. After washing it, I realized that there were 2 hairline cracks running kind of vertically - one on the inside and one on the outside of the cup. I was amazed that the cup didn't shatter and remained quite sturdy. Before purchasing these cups, I had another set of a different brand, and, being as coordinated as I am, I managed to drop it from the same armrest. Let me tell you, it shattered into what seemed like a million pieces. I have cats and it was one hell of a cleanup job to get all the tiny slivers out of the carpet so that they would not get glass imbedded in their paws.. The quality is very good and can take a lot of my tender abuse. Plus they hold a nice amount and it's so nice to sit and sip a cup of hot coffee instead of having to either gulp it down or keep reheating it. Nice to enjoy tea or coffee, and works great with cold mojitos in the summer.
