This is the second teapot I have bought from teabloom. They are beautiful, and the flowering teas are both gorgeous, and taste fantastic. I bought this second one for my mom as a Christmas gift. She loved mine when I brought it out on Thanksgiving, and was very impressed with the tea. Highly recommend this brand!
I'm a very practical person, but I do appreciate beauty (as well as a nice cup of tea), and this tea pot is both practical and aesthetically pleasing! Being fairly small, it is cute as well as pretty (its shape reminds me of Mrs. Pots from the original Disney Beauty and the Beast :)). I like that it has multi functions; you can use the tea blooms in it, you can use loose leaf tea OR you can use a tea bag in it. I've used all three methods in the week since I received it. The tea blooms are fun to watch open. The one thing you should be aware of is, if you use it with loose leaf tea or a tea bloom, you will need to have another tea pot to boil water with so you can pour the heated water over the tea leaves. If you are just using a tea bag, you can heat the tea pot directly on the stove top, then add your tea bag (or two) and let it steep. As in the description, the borosilicate glass from which the tea pot is made is quite sturdy, so it handles boiling water in it just fine. I did notice that after a few uses, the spout of the tea pot had some built up tea stuck on the glass, but that was remedied by cleaning with a Q-tip. I have only hand washed my tea pot thus far, though it does say that it is dishwasher safe. The tea pot holds 3 cups of water (so, 3 cups of tea, unless you refill it). It comes with a holder to sit it on that has a tea light underneath; this helps keep your tea warm as well as gives a warm, inviting ambiance to your table. Over all it's a great tea pot and enjoyable to use!
Beautiful just what I wanted
So I purchased this after seeing that my daughter had one. I often drink tea and would make a cup before my class in which I talk a lot. I would only get maybe half the cup down before I had to start class and then it would be cold by the time I got back to it. This little teapot and warmer are ideal. I can make a pot and it will stay warm all four hours of my class. I bought the small little glass cups so I can pour a quick cup, sip it down, and get right back to teaching. I can add loose tea, tea bags, or tea flowers. It is a beautiful little set, and I use it at least twice a day for a four-hour stretch each time. It pours easily and neatly, no messes. I leave it on my desk and bring the kettle to it to fill instead of filling it in the kitchen. When I did that, the handle would kind of slide through my hands so I needed to put a potholder under the bottom to carry it to my desk. It's such an simple and elegant little set. It would make a really good gift for anyone who loves tea or even someone who dictates a lot and needs to soothe their throat.So one day, a couple weeks after I got the set, my cat knocked over the teapot and the handle cracked. I was extremely upset about that. I call the company to explain what happened and to see if they had a replacement pot that would fit the warmer. I was hoping to be able to sit the flower infuser into the new pot also, just to keep the beauty of the set. After a little back and forth about whether their recommendation would fit the warmer I have and whatnot, they ended up sending me another set. I thought that was the most generous thing. I'm so crazy about this little set I just wanted everything to be exactly the same. Needless to say, their customer service gets a 5+ stars from me.
I had bought a different glass tea pot for my mom awhile ago. I ordered this one for my grandmother and it was so cute that I ordered myself one and also my mom one! I absolutely think this is the best glass teapot set I have ever seen! They even included a tea light so I was able to make tea and keep it warm right away! Do not even look further! I promise you will love this set and it makes a wonderful gift!
I have not use it yet. I was a Christmas gift but when I pulled it out of the box I was very surprised at how beautiful it is.. The tea pot itself is a little smaller than I expected but plenty big enough for a few cups of tea. This would make a beautiful gift..
One of the issues with the other gift-set warmers is the poor oxygen flow that snuffs out the tealight, but that isn't an issue with this design at all! (See attached photo above!) The tealights I have used with this burned steadily, and it was nice that the right and left sides didn't get too hot so I could adjust the entire warmer a bit if I accidentally bumped my desk.As you can see, the teapot may be a bit on the smaller side, but I've found that it's a good size for one or two people (if you're in a generous mood). One thing I'm a bit wary of about the pot is the way it sits on the warmer itself. It's sturdy, but has just a bit of wiggle room. Just enough that I could see about the bottom accumulating minor damage with time. Not a major issue at all, it'd be superficial damage at most.On the note of superficial damage. While my set was lovely there was a small scratch on the back of the tea-pot. Nothing that would make it completely unuseable, but when I mentioned it to Teabloom, they were more than willing to work with me to get a replacement set-up. Since this exact set wasn't available at the time, they referred me to another one of their products and had the replacement sent out. I didn't have to go through the trouble of returning anything either. All the employees I spoke to were responsive and more than willing to help, so if something happens to go wrong with your order, I would most definitely reach out to them! They will definitely work with you to make it right, which is what made me more than happy to give this product five stars.
