Absolutely 1000% Beautifully Crafted. I felt warm & fuzzy opening this Tea Cup Set....feel like I'm in shock still from giving myself this as my Holiday Gift to Self (as my Decades-Old Bodum Teacup Set cracked, sadly...)Sublime Upgrade.
These are the Best cups in the world. We love them.
It works great, but having used this and the "Bodum Tea For One Set, Tea Strainer with 12 Ounce Double Wall Borosilicate Glass," I have a strong preference for the Bodum.* This mug's double walls are closer together and/or more conductive, and the glass gets too hot to touch. The bodum is never too hot.* In related news, it doesn't stay hot for nearly as long as the Bodum, presumably because it's shedding heat through those thinner walls!* The strainer has bits that collect water, and thus is impossible to remove without making a drippy mess. The bodum's simple plastic strainer comes out clean every time.* The heavier components of this make it harder to carry. It's a balancing act to walk to your chair without the ceramic lid sliding off!
Neat insulated mug for loose tea leaves
a little pricey but unlike other types of mugs it doesn't change the tase of tea and doesn't stain. Outer doesn't get too hot to handle.
Works beautifully, inside tea keeps nice and hot, outside nice and cool. Make a lively cup of tea, Only problem, if it falls of kitchen counter, it breaks into a million pieces. The porcelen top didn't.
I use this at least 3x a week and love it. I also put all pieces through the dishwasher with no issue. My one nitpick would be the thickness of the glass and effectiveness of the vacuum walls. I can feel the heat of the tea although it isnt hot enough to burn. Other than that, it’s quite perfect, has the right volume. and fits well in my hands.The metal strainer is also the only one on Amazon (that I can find) that is one solid piece. All the others have the bottom loosely attached to the mesh walls, making it easy to fall apart and leaving cracks open for things to get stuck. The ceramic top is also great - there’s nothing wrong with silicone but I prefer not to have it if possible.I came back to look for other tea ware and decided to share my appreciation!
