This is a great product, well made, good price and value. I've enjoyed it so much in buying another one for my family. It even works with coffee although it does let some fine grounds through.
Excellent quality! Easy to clean! Sturdy, tall and very useful.The white rubber/silicone removes from the lid easily for cleaning.Fine metal mesh works well to keep your loose leaf tea inside the basket.I would recommend this item to any tea lover. Makes a great gift in conjunction with some nice, shortbread cookies, etc. Enjoy! :0)
I purchased this to brew some Sip Herbal teas that required an extra find mesh. The bowl is a bit larger than I thought it would be but still fits well in a cup. It is too large for a small teapot that holds 2 cups that has a smaller diameter lid. That was a bummer, but I just brew it in a cup. Love the lid that is handy to put the wet mesh bowl in after brewing. I also like that the bowl has two handles to hold the bowl at the top of the cup when brewing. I don't know if my tea is really extra fine or if the extra fine mesh holes are not fine enough, but some sediment is still left in the cup after brewing. This isn't a problem, though, because the you never taste pieces of the grounds. Good quality and I use it often.
Finally, a cup-style steeper that fits my giant mug! I use a 20 oz mug at work with a wider 4" rim, and my old SS infuser was not wide enough to brew loose leaf tea. I have a capsule infuser, but i feel like the leaves don't expand and bloom as much, and i'd wind up with an inferior brew, or a 10 oz paper cup of tea i'd have to refill & resteep enough times per day that the BOSS noticed. I thought i was doomed to that Bag Life (TM), until i thought to look for a solution on Amazon.I like the large size of the steeping basket, the material (SS, no metallic or plastic-y taste in my tea), how easy it is to clean, and the lid that doubles as a drip tray.

I had been looking for a second infuser similar to another (too expensive) one I have been using for years, and this one is even better at about half the price. It fits perfectly in all of my mugs and jars, is easy to use and clean, and the debris from the loose leaf tea and herbs I steep stay completely contained. I get a lovely infusion every time. I also appreciate the wide side handles (all one piece so nothing that bends or breaks off!!) that make the infuser easy to handle without getting burned. The lid, which is also easy to keep clean, is a nice touch, so I don’t have to search for a cover or spoon rest. I highly recommend this wonderful infuser!
