Lid fits really well and it's cute and has a nice feel.
I haven't brewed any tea yet, I have cleaned it out well (boiled it submerged in water); but, I like the build. It does not drip on pour. Lid has a nice fit. I expect it will brew some really nice tea. I am waiting on some puerh tea to season it with; but, I have been so impressed with what I 've seen so far, I jumped the gun a little bit on a review. Would recomend this cute little pot, you won't be disappointed. Good quality, very good value.

Real Handmade, Unglazed
I saw someone in the reviews say this wasn't handmade. That is NONSENSE. I know my pottery, I've made enough pottery to spot it. People are often shocked that a lot of non-plaster ceramics they buy in the store are handmade because it's actually easier to make by hand. As proof, you can see on the inside of this teapot marks where someone used a tool to attach the base to the main part of the teapot because it's in an inconvenient place to smooth out. Skilled potters smooth their work and don't leave it too thick and lumpy unless they're going for wabi-sabi style or because they know that's the only way typical craft salers recognize pottery as handmade.Anyway, I had to get that off my chest because I love this teapot. I use it almost every day for multiple brews. I adore the smooth and steady stream of the spout. Keep in mind when you purchase this teapot that it is unglazed and you'll want to make sure you don't get lazy and let bacteria and whatever grow in it because you also don't want to ruin it with soap. If you insist on using soap, do not use scented soap and do not soak it.

I should have read the reviews...
Like several other customers, I was very disappointed when hairline cracks began developing on the bottom of the pot. I had been using it for about 2 months before I heard a cracking sound when pouring hot water into it the first time. I heard it once more a week after that, and tea began dripping right out from the bottom of the pot. At this low of a price, I didn't expect perfection, but I definitely expected a pot that would not break simply from being used in the proper way. The lid actually fits quite well, and the pour is nicer than most pots I've used. The clay must be poor quality, though, and the firing process must not have been done properly for this to happen. I wish I could return it but of course I am out of the return window now. I would rather have saved the money and put it toward a more expensive pot from the beginning.

Tea pot
It’s a really good teapot. I was scared it would break. Because of the reviews. But you have to season it first. Maybe people are not doing that.I had for two weeks now no problems. And I put it to test trust me. The lid stays on when it’s hot. Got it for work and use it everyday. Pu-erh tea drinker. This teapot Just is good as my 200 hundred dollar one home.

Great inexpensive pot for gongfu beginner
Very pleased with this tea pot, perfect for my solo gongfu sessions at 200ml (but also fine for 2 people).Whether or not this is really Yixing clay at this price I don't know, but I'm happy enough with the results.I've used this regularly for 2 months or so with several different tea varieties I like - puerh (raw and ripe) and oolongs. Compared to brewing in a glass pot my tea tastes smoother and less harsh. The pour is decent, although should be used with a tea tray as some drips come down. Easy to rinse/clean and to discard used leaves.Aesthetically it looks great on my tea tray. If you are interested in trying gongfu brewing you can't go wrong with this pot.

cute pot with high quality finish
I've bought two tea pots from this seller, and both are very good. This one is so-called Xi-shi pot, which has a very short pouring mouth. The other Xi-shi pots I purchased elsewhere would leak a lot when pouring due to the short mouth, I wouldn't say this one does not leak at all, but this one by far is the best. The finish is very nice, and the little bag and the calligraphic certificate comes together with the tea pot just add more appeals. Love the overall package!

So so
The teapot has the appearance as a black clay Zisha teapot should have.It looks like a machine-made product, perfect shape outlined. The main flaw is the design of its spout, dripping stop and weak water flow as shown in video. This is a major flaw to a teapot. I am disappointed. The issue maybe because of the short spout. I wonder if the other two types are better. It came in a flimsy box, an ugly cloth wrap and an introduction on a piece of rice paper in Chinese. I was happy to touch a rice paper again. My previous teapot bought from China was broken. So I had to buy a new one on Amazon for fast shipping. This one matches my set well, but without best function.
