The size and dimensions of this product fit well in most medium size pots. It works well with even thin noodles or perhaps the rice size orzo. The fold in handle saves space in the cupboard and makes it very maneuverable.
5 stars for close fitting Revereware 2qt and 3 qt saucepans. Nice for boiling/steaming and easy draining in Revere ware 2 and 3 qt saucepans. Very close fit. Also nice for simmering bones in larger diameter stockpots and remove without pouring issues.
Works well for straining albeit I bought it for steaming.
Perfect fit for a 3-qt pot. Works for fried slices of eggplant or potatoes. Dishwasher safe. The handle is just a bit wobbly but not a major issue.
Perfect size for my medium size and up pots—pans too—frying or portioning soup noodles has never been easier.
