This item is a great gift. I gave it to my employees on my team and they were greatly appreciate it.
I got this for a gift bag set to give to my labor nurses. It’s well made, good weight and works as expected for maintaining drink temp. The lids have good seals to help prevent leakage both in the sip part and the top part. The only thing is it might be a little too good. The lid needs to be removed with care because it takes some effort to get it off. Given the force need to open, it might pop off unexpected and cause a splash. Trade off I guess with having a good seal. The pattern is a nice neutral color with sweet appreciation wording.
Some of the wording is a little off but the point gets through - Yay Veterans! The cup itself is great. With a little ice, stays cold all day long with ice left over. Stays hot for many hours. I prefer the lids with the straw hole in the middle of the lid - holds a little larger straw with a tighter fit - but this type of lid works well also. I am not a fan of the stainless steel straws. I think they are too thin and the kinked one is difficult to clean.Even though it keeps cold liquid cold, if you have it out in the heat (I live in Arizona), the outside of the cup can get warm enough to make you jerk until you figure out it doesn't actually get hot enough to hurt your hand.Unless you have the lid open, it is very spill resistant. It is also drop resistant. It doesn't dent easily. It won't crack. The lid might crack if it were hit just right but I haven't had that problem. The coating on the cup is sturdy. I put it in the dishwasher (along with the lid) and it came out fine but I do not recommend regular washing in the dishwasher. It is impossible for me to tell what kind of coating is on the outside of the cup and therefore impossible to tell how long it would last in the dishwasher. It is big enough to easily hand wash. The best part of these cups is that the top edge and the entire inside is stainless steel. That means there is absolutely no off gassing into your drink. It tastes the same as it would from a ceramic or glass cup. The lid, although it is plastic, does not add any taste either even if your drink is left overnight. The description says some weird things. The only plastic is the lid and it has a silicone ring that seals it. I don't understand where it says it is gas stovetop compatible. Why would you put it on a stovetop of any kind? And I do not think it would do well on a stovetop even though it is stainless steel. I would not call it slim but it does fit in my cup holder.
