This makes great popcorn with very few kernels remaining when done. I have used only with the corn, no oil. The popcorn is light and large with great flavor. It has become a household routine to make popcorn everyday. Very easy to use and clean.
Add me to the choir! It was impossible not to purchase this popcorn maker after reading the rave reviews and I'm here to echo those sentiments as it's a really great invention! So much simpler than an electric air popper or using a bag or bowl in the microwave. Just fill, pop, and enjoy fresh, evenly popped popcorn with zero unhealthy additives! You may have to experiment with the timing on your microwave to find the sweet spot. Or, in this case, the sweet pop. :)
It does the job. The taste isn’t near as good as traditional microwave popcorn though. I’ll keep trying different recipes because I’m trying to eat healthier.
I love popcorn but I am also trying to lose weight and cut back on saturated fats, so this microwave popper fits my routine perfectly. I can pop plain kernels right in the microwave and then lightly mist them with olive oil afterward for flavor without loading on calories. The result is a high fiber snack that tastes great and feels much lighter than bagged popcorn. The popcorn comes out fluffy and evenly popped when I set my microwave to 2 minutes and 45 seconds, since the popcorn button on my microwave is off. I like that I control what goes on it instead of being locked into prepackaged oils and additives. It is easy to handle, simple to clean, and stores without taking up much space. For the quality and how often I use it, the price feels reasonable. I am giving this five stars because it supports my goals, works reliably, and I would absolutely buy it again.
This is great!! Super easy to use, cooks the popcorn perfectly, leaves hardly any unpopped kernels, flattens down for storage, and goes in the top rack of the dishwasher! So much better than the old air poppers!
I couldn't be happier with the popper! I make popcorn daily, and this is easy to clean and works well. I use 1/4 C of popcorn and microwave for 4 min in my 1100 W microwave. Perfect popcorn, few old maids. I have also found my favorite brand of kernels, which is America's Best by Jolly Time. Once the popcorn is done I put it in a glass bowl so that I can add toppings. I wouldn't add toppings directly to the silicone, but that is just me.
