Perfect Size - Durrable
I have to commute about an hour one way each day for several months. I purchased this because going into MacDonalds and StarBucks or DutchBoys was time consuming and expensive.Since I purchased this travel mug, I make my own perked or instant coffee. Fits in my car cup holder. Is the perfect size. Keeps my coffee very hot ALL DAY if I don't drink it all or just sip all day. Making your own coffee saves so much money.This is 24oz. I used to drink WAY TOO MUCH COFFEE. I drink my coffee black or every blue moon with a little stevia. I limit myself to drink only the amount of coffee that will fit in this thermos which has helped my health and pleased by doctor.PROSVery durable. It’s a great quality cup, it keeps drinks cold for 24+ hours - this is assuming you’re drink is ice cold already and you fill it with a good amount of ice.Naturally, if you have lukewarm liquids and you fill them with ice the ice melts to cool the liquid. In this case drinks do not last cold for 24 hours. Like say you had a lot of ice then drank all the fluid and refilled it several times with lukewarm drinks, it would only last cold a few hours 4-6.Pros: Works as intended when used properly, easy to take a part and clean, great liquid capacity, the slender base makes it easy to hold, straws fit into the lid opening, and it’s leak proof.Cons: The opening tab indicator can hardly be seen and it can be confusing which way to pull open the tab (it would have been great if they just put a white arrow pointing in the pull direction), the lid can be stiff and hard to close initially (although it loosens up after a week of use and becomes much easier), and the steel metal one is the most expensive over all the other colors (the others are colored with paint which chips and dings off over time, so the metal one won’t need to be replaced due to esthetic reasons ie. it looks all scratched up from a year of heavy use), and pulling the tab closed (after drinking, it retains some of the fluid) will splash back some of the drink up into the air like about 1 1/2 feet towards your face and splash you.In Summary: it’s a great thermal cup, well worth the money. The “splash-back” takes getting used to but it’s a good trade off in order to be able to easily clean the lid. The Alta series cup lids could not be disassembled and would become grimy and dirty.
