Tiawudi Muffin Pans – mini tested and worked great!
I ordered this set (cupcake + mini-muffin) specifically for the mini-muffin pan and had occasion to use it over the holidays for three separate baking events. Despite the fact they are listed as non-stick, I’ve learned that even with greasing the pan, sometimes baked items stick so it’s a must as far as I’m concerned.With that said, I greased the cavities and every single mini- came out beautifully. Nothing stuck and cleanup was a breeze. I’ve never put baking pans in the dishwasher but this pan was so easy to clean – just warm soapy water with a soft cloth and it came out looking brand new!I especially like the handles on this pan as I learned a lesson when I purchased my first one at home (these were delivered to the home I was visiting so I could bake there). At the time, I was upgrading from a 12- to 24-cavity and didn’t pay enough attention when I ordered it to notice there were no handles. What I discovered is with oven mitts on, there is no good way to lift the pan out of the oven without crushing the tops of several muffins in the process so handles are a must-have! This set of pans has handles that are big enough so there is no interference with mitts on. Perhaps the silicone pads are intended to eliminate the need for mitts altogether but I’m not willing to do THAT test! I like that the silicone is removable because in all honesty, it’s nearly impossible for me to get batter in the cavities without getting it elsewhere on the pan. ☹ With the removable silicone, I can be sure the pan is completely cleaned.The other thing I noticed about this mini-muffin pan was no rust formed on the front, back or beneath the silicone, post-wash. One of the other pans I have formed rust after the initial hand wash and that was very disappointing. But, so far, this pan is the best of the three that I’ve acquired and I will likely purchase the set for my home to replace all of the others since I’ve had such a positive experience with this one.They are well worth the asking price and a quality product.
