This is my first manual coffee grinder. I have a Baratza coffee grinder that I've been using for grinding coffee beans, but it does not go quite as fine as I need for the way I am making coffee right now; so I bought this to grind beans to espresso size. The build is sturdy. And the design is thoughtful. I love that the body is knurled to help your grip as you grind. I love the way the handle folds. The size is perfect, compact but capacious. The weight is nearly ideal. I'm finding that the flavor of my coffee is a little richer, stronger and less bitter than it was before; so I'm really happy with my choice.My only quibble is that the manual does not specify that the handle needs to be on the unit to adjust grind size. It took me a little time to figure this out and it came close to spoiling my honeymoon introduction to an otherwise good piece of kit.

Grinding Noise is minimal. Easy to clean with a cleaning brush that came with it.I haven't tested its capabilities for espresso yet, so I can't speak to its performance at those finer settings.My only minor complaint is the price; I wish it were a little cheaper for what you get, though the performance does justify it for serious coffee enthusiasts.
