Very thin and easy to store, multi- size safe for multi foods and your knives
These arrived well-packaged with a protective film on one side of them. None of them were scratched or had any damage. It took a second for me to realize that I had to peel off the protective layer, because upon first glance, I thought the backside was all scratched up. As mentioned, it turned out it was just the protective film that you peel off.These are very thin, which I suppose is good for most people because it makes them quite storable. The whole set doesn't take up very much room if laid flat. There's a nice variety of sizes included in the set. You could either keep them all for yourself, or gift a couple of them to someone else. The directions say to wash and dry right after use. I've been doing that, because I assume if you let them sit too long with moisture on them, they might rust. This has not happened to me, I'm just pointing it out that it is included as part of the directions.I was a little worried about using my knives on a titanium cutting board, but I did read information about titanium and saw that it's supposed to be safe for your knives. So far, I have not had any issues with it dulling or scratching my knives. I can't speak to the long-term effects, because I've only had them a couple of weeks now. But so far I am pleased with the results. I also like the fact that they're metal and not porous, so they don't hold bacteria and clean up really well. I feel like it's safe cutting meat on them and washing it and going straight to vegetables or salad. I've been choosing my board solely based on size. I do not have a separate cutting board for different products that I'm using. As long as you wash them in hot soapy, water, and dry them after use they should still be safe.Personally, I've never liked using wood cutting boards because they just hold so much bacteria. Prior to these, I was using plastic ones that I would wash and then sometimes run through the dishwasher if I cut meat or something on them. These feel much safer and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. I've always been very cautious with food, safety, and I feel like these are taking my cutting boards to the level they should've been at previously. I think these will keep my knives sharp and my family safe from food bacteria, cross contaminating and making anyone sick.These do seem to get fingerprints on them when you put your hand on them. I think this would be any kind of metal, but these appear to both clean and get dirty about the same as stainless steel.They also have a little handle on one end so they're a little easier to work with. They're pretty slick, so it makes it easy to grab on one end when you're drying and washing them. One other thing I would note is that the directions say to put it on a towel when you're cutting on it. I haven't had an issue on my counter yet, but I think if you had moisture underneath it it would slip around while you were cutting. Also, depending on how far away you're cutting from yourself and possibly what you're cutting, I could see that it could slide on the counter. Again, this has not been an issue for me yet, but it is stated in the directions.
