Quality knives that I feel like any chef would use themselves

This knife set is beautiful. Not only are they nice to look at if you choose to display them in your kitchen, but they just work. I have heard of Tivoli and have known for some time that they are reputable and good quality. I saw nothing less with this set. I really wanted to get these for the 2 types of slicing knives for my Thanksgiving turkey. I honestly couldn’t even hold out for it! We ended up buying a big ham last week and went with using the 8" slicing knife. If I had a bigger ham I would’ve been able to use the 10" as well. It's nice to have those size differences because it makes such a difference if you cut too far out or not enough. I use the kitchen knife more than any because I am always slicing up pork or roasts. They are all super sharp coming straight out of the box. I have used them weekly and so far haven’t even felt the need to sharpen any. It's great that it comes with a rod to sharpen them though. I do prefer the rods compared to the blocks as it feels more freehand, which I do better with.Each knife is imprinted with German Stainless Steel, and if the look didn’t give away the quality of that, the wear and tear will. I have been pretty rough on them, I'll admit. But I haven’t had any of them rust or do that weird tip bend a lot of knives do and then snag on things. I'm unsure of what the material for the grips is made out of, but they at least are super comfortable. They dry fast after washing, and they are slightly textured so you can really get a good grip on them.The only downside is that I have been searching for something to put them in or on. These knives are pretty large, and so I am having trouble finding anything. So for now, I wash them, put them back in their box, and store them until next time. They do take up a lot of space like that, so I just wish they referred you to a certain knife block or strip to hang them on specifically for their size. That, along with I do feel that at the time of ordering this set, the value may have been a little higher than what I feel they should be priced at. I am still 100% satisfied with this product, and it was exactly as described!
