We just received this and we are well pleased with the quality and the design.We bought these thinking they would work great for our fishing trips and healthy eating.They are the perfect size for an individual portion and I am a person who likes a big salad.We are thinking 2 more are in our immediate future !Possibly 4 more as we are looking at what a great gift they would be.
i bought this in hopes of being encouraged to eat salads more and it’s literally so perfect. SO convenient to take to work for lunch
This one is Extremely cheap. They even send extra clips because they anticipate they will break. Do yourself a favor a spend a few extra dollars and get a better product. There are a few on Amazon that are around the twenty dollar range. Much better quality at that price range.
The look clips that lock the lid on brakes often
Now, this is a neat idea. I wanted to bring a salad to work, but I was looking for small containers that I could put salad dressing in when I stumbled upon this side open jar. I don't think I have added anything to my cart as quick as this was added.This is designed like one of the old glass mason jars. You can lay this on its side and it is pretty stable because the side of this jar opposite the opening has a flat area. There is actually a little cup that sits in the round opening of the mason jar and then the included plastic lid has a gasket to make sure whatever salad dressing you add into that little cup does not spill out.The removable door portion has a gasket also, but I am not sure that I would recommend or trust putting a liquid in this. I am guessing that salad, or a fruit pieces with little or no juice would work well.Pros:- This stands up like a mason jar, so it is not going to take up much room if you put this in a refrigerator.- The opening on the side that allows you to get to the salad is wide enough that it does not even make you think that you are eating out of the side of a jar-shaped container.- The little cup for the dressing is a good size and holds the dressing well. The gasket on the jar lid keeps the dressing from leaking.- They did include two extra clips for the removable side. I am not sure if they expect them to break over time or if they will possibly fall off over time and get lost, but that is a nice touch.- The container is made of plastic and does not retain the smells of the food like some other more porous plastics.- This is dishwasher safe, but I bet it is top rack dishwasher safe, freezer safe, and BPA free.Cons:- I have not tested this by dropping it, but I do not think that this will survive a fall on a hard floor without at least getting a crack. Treat this like you would a glass mason style jar and you should be fine.If you are looking for a nice way to bring fresh salads with you, this is a really nice option. The size seems perfect for a hearty salad and since the dressing can be contained in its own container, this is something you could prep the night before. The price was fair for this item and I am sure I have paid more for items that will not work as well as this.
