Great shredder with extra tools that make the difference
It's bbq season, and I finally threw some chicken breasts on the grill. I used this to shread them using different methods. First, I put an entire breast (uncut) in the center of the shredder. That worked, but I did have to open it and reposition the chicken since some of the chicken in the middle didn't shred. The second time, I cut the breast into 3 pieces and put them near the outer edges of the shredder vs in the middle. This worked better, but I did still need to move some pieces around and shred a second time. However, that does not bother me at all, as it was still MUCH easier and faster than trying to shred with two forks. Even with having to reposition the chicken and shred a second time, it still takes less than a minute.Also, the big benefit of this shredder vs others is that it has a tray with holes in it that sets on top of the prongs, so after you shred, you lift that tray out and can easisily scrape /dump the chicken out of the tray instead of having to work around the prongs like other versions I've seen. This set also comes with mini tongs and a brush to clean it. The tongs proved particularly helpful, as after I shredded the chicken, I lifted out the inner tray and used the tongs to plate the chicken. Overall, while yes, this is another kitchen gadget, I find it to be well worth it based on the amount of time and energy it will save vs having to manually shred chicken. This will also actually motivate me to cook more chicken due to the ease of shredding it so I can use it in different ways (in dips, on salad, pulled smoked chicken etc).

This product exceeds my expectation. It’s a very simple device that shreds chicken easily. There’s an inner shell that pulls the chicken out cleanly, which is not shown in the video. Very good chicken shredder
To be honest I did not know these things existed before being looking for a paper shredder (lol) but I am glad about finding and trying it as this chicken shredder is a convenient kitchen tool, efficient and time saver.These are my honest thoughts and some tips:-The separate plate is a great feature, not available in all chicken shredders, very useful to handle the shredded meat and also makes it much easier to clean it, so I think it is a must and nice to have feature.-It is a good size and can handle a nice amount of chicken although it has to be cut in pieces not too big so it can be easier to arrange and not too wide so the top part can close and make the trick.-I’ve found out it really helps to shredder the chicken much faster and quite well, rotating as many times until your liking, just try to place the chicken not too close to the edge as that part tends to leave bigger pieces.-Quality looks good and this chicken shredder feels sturdy, easy to use and we already washed its parts in the dishwasher without issues.-Also comes with some additional tools: one cleaning brush, quite helpful as it is not as easy to hand wash with the scrub sponge (although it could be better if it was round shaped); one small tong, just good enough to do the job; and one anti-slip mat not really necessary imho but nice to have.-The only drawback, although not big enough to reduce one star from this review, is the way it is signaled to align the separate plate with the base as it is marked with just a small arrow in the same black color printed in each part, if someone is not aware that it is there might not see it and have to keep trying to put in place the plate within the base… maybe a small tab on the border of each would be easier to see and align (just an idea! that would make the product easier to use).Wow, this was a long review! Cuts Down On Prep Time
As a chef by trade, I will look for any excuse to make cooking at home easier or to get out of the tasks I'm not the biggest fan of. And shredding meat is absolutely one of them. It takes forever and doing it with forks always give my hands a cramp. 🤣 But not with this! I can't believe how well this device works. It makes shredding meat so quick and easy that it literally cut my prep time down by well over half. I wish I had this in some of my old restaurants!
