The Tonma scissors are sharp, solidly made and very precise. I got a pruning shear from this company a few days ago, and am overall very impressed with the quality of their instruments. This is now hidden in my sewing kit, in case my husband decides to use it to dismantle boxes for compost. We have other scissors which will do that, but will not cut fabric cleanly. These are excellent for use with both fabric and paper (though I know some would call that heresy). I am not in that camp, but believe these are a higher order instrument than the other scissors in our house, and so I will protect them from abuse, because it is nice to have a precision instrument around when you need one. In contrast to a number of other things I have tried lately, I would purchase just about anything this company makes because they seem to treat each with a great deal of care and produce the best product they can. Both the scissor and pruning shears are the best I have, and I have been through a lot of pruning shears.

Very sharp and sturdy feeling

I wasn't sure at first what I thought. These are very different from the plastic scissors that I was using in my kitchen. These had a little different shape and were much heavier. So I waited to review them until I had a chance to really use them a few times. Once I got used to the weight, they are actually really awesome scissors. Crazy sharp, they seem to cut through everything I have tried. Being metal instead of plastic I anticipate these lasting a lot longer. I haven't had them long enough to day they won't rust, but the metal feels like it is decent quality and I would be surprised if they did. I would absolutely get these again!
