I purchased this to replace my old Black & Decker toaster oven and my air fryer. I love this toaster oven. It does everything I want it to do: Proof yeast rolls. then cook without them falling while transporting to the oven; dehydrating flower petals for potpourri, baking banana bread without having to heat up the oven; air fry french fries without the mess to clean up. Etc, etc, etc. This does it all. Cleaning the inside is quick and easy. It is very quiet when running.Only 4 stars because, it doesn't automatically go from warm up to cook. You have to stand there and punch the button again. I can't here the sound of the warm up ending. So, I have to stand there and wait.
I’ve had the toaster for a week now and have used it a handful of times to toast, roast, and bake. So far it’s been great. Easy to use and cleanup has been a breeze.
It's fine. Works. Not crazy expensive.
I was researching Microwave/Air Fryer Combo' and was surprised of the numerous comments, stating appliance stopped working within one year from several different brands. I found a Toshiba video review of this appliance stating customers were reporting electrical issues; GFCI tripping. After considering all this information, electrical and airflow issues (tight against the wall) possibly overheated these units to malfunction.I was reading the ChefFry 12-in-1 description and 1750 Watts caught my attention. After multiple days repeatedly thinking about a 1750-watt appliance for my kitchen, Google AI response was "1750 Watts - 20 Amp Breaker is recommended." I had the proper gauge wires and breaker, only needed to change the receptacle.Air Fry your food - not your electrical appliance, panel, receptacle, wires or your home. A 20 Amp complete circuit - receptable, wires, and breaker is needed to use this appliance safely. Manufacturer should have included this info into written description when advertising 1750 Watts. Appliance needs plenty of air flow on all four sides when using. Ignoring both may cause overheating issues. On page 5 of Instruction Manual - DO NOT use another appliance on the same circuit when using. Manual also suggests unplugging when not in use.The Cabinet appears well made including cord, dials and the oven door. The accessories are ok; metal could be thicker. The manual suggested to put all accessories on Roast before first use for fifteen minutes, had no smoke or issues. After multiple uses, my perceptive is the right side of oven is warm to touch, top of oven and door gets hot, the handle stays cool, left side of oven very hot and back of over near vent is extremely hot to touch.I have made toast, brown and serve rolls, frozen fish and a turkey breast. I am very pleased with this ChefFry from Toshiba.
I think it is okay to use. The temperature is slightly lower than the big oven. The outside is not touchable while in use. However, it is not super hot that fell dangerous. At this price range and function, I think it works for my family. I would like to rate it 4.5 stars.
Update 1/2/26. Well.I've had it for over a month and very satisfied with it.And highly recommended. 12/14 updats, as for using it for an air fryer, I'm trying to air fry some chicken and it makes a lot of noise. So I decided to just bake it.Does anybody else have this problem ?So far so good, only complaint is the settings have to press the button and if you pass the setting you want then you have to go around again, no going backward.
