I rarely write reviews but I was very disappointed with the quality of this item. There were a bunch of cracks and you could still see the wood glue. I recommend staying away from this and also the utensil holder. I will admit though that their utensils were pretty nice and decent quality.

The hands are great. The bowl is shoddily made. Customer service is good though.

I already have some of their kitchen implements and am happy with them. And the salad hands in this kit are also lovely. The bowl itself though is poorly made. The materials are fine...but look in the photos at the gaps with the bottom and the miters. I know that miters are hard - especially for a polygon - but not only are there gaps but two of the miters don't even join at the corner and have had to be sanded to make them look presentable. See also the glue residue on the base. I'm not sure if I'll return them yet. If I can fill the gaps, sand and refinish I might keep them.Update: I contacted the manufacturer and they agreed that this bowl was substandard. I ordered a second but it was not better. Then a third, and that was adequate (I still had gaps I needed to fill). The manufacturer recommends ordering directly from them to ensure the product's quality. Speculation: I wonder if Amazon returns means that the average quality of Amazon's stock is decreasing (the more bad ones get returned, the greater the chances of you getting a bad one when you order).Recommendation: either order direct from the manufacturer or order 5 and return the 4 worst.
