light weight easy to use
after a dozen years was time to replace my bamboo cutting board( i never dried it ends get moldy). this 1-2 serving size board thats firm but thin(3/8") and light, which makes going from board to pot easy. i am glad it does not have a groove to make harder to clean and dry, but the curved shape surprised me as its a breeze to clean and dry which i now do as i want this to last. edge grain bamboo does splinter but a rigorous initial cleaning reduces that. the size and shape also make it a nice individual serving plate too.

Great cutting board
Real review from actual customer- One year after purchase & this has been a great cutting board. I bought 2, one for me & one for my daughter. They are washed in the dishwasher almost daily and still work great. Lightweight, yet sturdy. The small size is good when you don’t want to drag out a big cutting board. This picture is after a year of almost daily use.

Not Dishwasher Safe, Despite Advertising It As Such
I've got a small, bamboo composite cutting board that can be washed in the dishwasher that I've had for years and it's held up beautifully. It's great for cutting small messy things, like soft cheeses or sweet breads, which can be hard to get off a traditional wood board and I wanted another. I saw this, which says "Can be sanitized in a dishwasher," on sale and thought I'd give it a try.Big mistake, since even at the $10 I paid for it, it's a rip off. I've washed it once, ONCE, in the dishwasher and it's already cracking and splintering. Junk. The size is fine, though it is very thin. Because of that, it's really more a tray than a cutting board, as it does little to protect knives. Even without the dishwasher lie, it feels, and looks, quite cheap, despite its price tag. This is of the quality of something I'd expect at the Dollar Store or a Wal-Mart Bargain bin.

My Favorite Cutting Board: Solid Yet Light & Relatively Thin Medium Sized Cutting Board
This is the perfect size for a cutting board for medium to small chopping tasks. It is light and relatively thin compared to others, yet well constructed, durable, and perfectly sized for all but the larger cutting tasks. I would not want any smaller, yet it is large enough to handle most chopping tasks except for the largest (like watermelon). The perfect alternate go to lightweight and accessible cutting board when you do not want to use up too much counter space or pull out the really big one. Their largest should be great also and much better than lugging out the heavier boards. It is nicely made and has a good finish and construction. I am very picky though and it appears that the very final finishing step was not completed on this board. The particular piece that I got had some super small short hair width minor loose micro strands of wood (NOT splinters) that most people would not notice that I easily removed with a 250 grit piece sand paper in just a few minutes, to make it perfect (steel wool or SOS would work very well for this also.also). I put on a little mineral oil to restore like new finish. It is in a different league over and above a two piece cutting board set with both small and medium boards called DDMVZ which sells for $9. That 2 board set is different as one of them is so small as to be worthless and the board smell of plywood glue and have a slightly splintered poorly finished thin bamboo top. I sent them back. Pay the extra seven $ and get something you will love and want and be able to keep such as this Totally Bamboo Greenlight Utility Board.I recommend against washing any wood board in the washing machine by the way. Regardless of manufacturers boasting and claims, lets face it, wood does not like constant contact with water and use common sense and just wash and dry it when you are done and apply mineral oil when it starts to become weathered after months of use.

Much better than plastic!
When I read that we are ingesting tiny bits of plastic from plastic cutting boards, I immediately purchased this. It's a convenient size and washes up well. My only issue with it is that it says dishwasher safe, but it can't stay in the dry cycle of a dishwasher. Not a huge gamechanger, but a little inconvenient.

Dont use dish soap?
This lasted me just under 2 yrs. It is now starting to fall apart. I use about 3x per week and wash by hand with dish soap except a monthly dishwasher cycle
