I wanted a white masher for my potatoes and this was the perfect purchase! The silicone works well to mash cooked potatoes right in the pan without ruining my pan! It is a sturdy tool and the I do not think that I will ever need another one!! For me this was a GREAT purchase!
tossed out my red plastic smasher after having it for years and not really thinking about it till I decided to purge my kitchen of any plastic cooking utensils. (Plastic and high heat are a horrible combo, don’t do it) I bought this stainless steel and silicone smasher and it’s fantastic! also easy to clean up. I’ve used it for fruit jams, beans, and potatoes so far and I love the results plus no more plastic in my food which is simply the best!
This potatoe masher works really well. Because it's wrapped in silicone, it doesn't scratch the pot. I'm very happy with this item
Product works really well breaking up ground meat while cooking, the only thing it needs is a silicone grip on the handle. Haven't tried it with potatoes yet...we'll see.
This does a good job of mashing potatoes and won't scratch the bottom of a non-stick pan. The handle feels substantial, making it easier to push through potatoes. The silicone coating makes it easy to clean.
A bit too large, silicone looks as if it might come loose from metal, not very comfortable, difficult to mash close to edge of pan bottom or sides of bowl. Like the Oxo Good Grips Nylon better.
