If you have even a small quantity of strawberries this is a great tool to have. It pushes the cap and leaves right out the top of the berry leaving only a small hole I usually buy a quantity of strawberries in the spring and prepare the berries and freeze them. That way we can have fresh berries all winter and this little tool makes the job so much easier. And I get all the berry, not like before when I was forced to cap my berries with a knife. Well worth the purchase price!!
I just love this little strainer for my berries. Perfect size & good quality melamine. It’s thicker than I expected. Highly recommend this product.
Very handy for berries.
Works well, wish it came in other colors
’ve been eating more strawberries for breakfast lately, but using a knife to remove the stems was slow and sometimes led to small cuts. The Tovolo Strawberry Huller makes the process much easier and safer. It’s simple to use: just push the metal straw through the berry and the stem pops out. Once you get the hang of it, it’s fast and more precise than a knife, with minimal fruit waste. The handle is easy to grip, even with wet hands, and it feels sturdy in use.Cleanup is quick since it's dishwasher safe, and you can rinse it easily by running water through the open-ended straw. One small drawback is that softer or juicier strawberries sometimes get stuck inside, and I’ve had to use a fork to push them out. Still, it’s a big time-saver overall and takes up hardly any space in the kitchen drawer. If you prep a lot of strawberries, this tool is worth having. It’s not perfect, but it does its job well and makes the task faster and less messy.
Love these because they are handy and small. Use them for cherry tomatoes, blueberries etc. sturdy but lightweight. Own a bunch of them in all color options.
