Best Knife Sharpener I’ve Ever Owned!!
I was so excited to get my KraxenHaus Rolling Knife Sharpener, and it didn’t disappoint! As soon as I opened it, I went to work sharpening all my knives, and now they’re like brand new -seriously sharp and ready to go.The sharpener is amazing. The diamond disc gets the edge super sharp, but the ceramic disc is what really makes it stand out. It hones and cleans the blade, leaving it perfectly sharp and smooth. Most other sharpeners don’t even have that feature, and it makes a huge difference.It’s also built really well. The magnets are strong, so the knife stays secure while you’re sharpening, and the stand is super handy for keeping everything neat.I saw some comments about the instructions, but I just emailed their team (the address is on the thank you card: office@kraxenhaus.com), and they got back to me right away. They even sent me an ebook with all kinds of tips about knives -a nice little bonus.If you want something easy to use and that actually works, this is the sharpener for you. Tools like this Rock!
I bought this after struggling to keep my kitchen knives sharp. My old method used a diamond hone which did a great job but keeping the angle consistent was near impossible.This tumbler idea is the deal. No more guessing the proper angle and keeping it. The tool does both.I will say knowing the angle of your particular cutting edge is important a simple Google search can give you that info.I don't even try sharpening my pocket knives with this tool it's possible but it's meant more to do kitchen knives. It does a very good job of maintaining kitchen knife edges. I typically touch up the edge of my knives every couple weeks the moment that I notice extra effort is required to cuts. It usually takes a half dozen or so swipes on each edge to regain a good edge with the ceramic. Use the rough side when this doesn't work.I did use it to take the burred edges of a cheap bread knife off. They were catching dish rags while cleaning. I'm sure the tool is not meant for that.For wide blades like chef's knives I put the drum on a cutting board and the holder on the counter thus gaining height. Smaller knives is more of a challenge they just need to be proud of the holder.I haven't tried changing the angle of any of my blades with this tool nor would I expect it to do so. Though the drum has sufficient grip to maintain an edge I don't think that it would hold up to major cutting that angle changes require.The only fault if you can call it that is that the drum may leave skid marks on the counter or whatever surface it's used on. I think this only happens when you follow a curved profile like towards the tip of a knife. This hasn't been a problem for me but if you have an exotic counter material it may for you. The marks it makes seems to wipe off easily.

It showed up earlier than expected
Still figuring it out, tumbler doesn't seem to roll smoothly but leaves black rubber stresk marks on my flat hard wood surface. The box came with no instructions, so I mimicked the one shown on media that had instructions and different blade sharpening attachments. The price was cheaper than the competition so you get what you pay for. I really liked the magnetic block with four different angles.
