I have several other Tuo knives. Our old bread knife was worn out, so ordered this one. WOW, so much better! This knife is hefty and sharp. We love it! Can slice big round sourdough loaves.I do recommend all the Tuo knives. Great quality at a reasonable price. I sharpen my knives about once weekly with a simple Henkels sharpener. They keep a very fine edge!
This is my second knife of this brand and I couldn't be happier. Well made, thick blade and comfortable grip makes it perfect to cut my wife sourdough bread.We had an old bread knife and it simply didn't work when sourdough with thick, crispy skin showed up on our kitchen counter. It was tearing the bread apart instead of slicing it.We needed to buy a new knife and this one was a perfect pick. Happy with this purchase.

I've used many. Some with thicker blades you'd think would cut nicer but the thick the blade the harder it is to cut in a straight line because the serrations are all on one side. So the thinner blade, to a degree, with the proper serrations is better. I find this knife without going to a bow style bread slicer is best for me.

Originally I bought. bread knife from William Sonoma for x3 the cost of this one. I ended up returning that knife because it was not great quality and dull. I am much happier with this knife! It cuts my homemade bread beautifully, is pretty sharp, and feels high quality. I love the durable wooden handle. My only wish is that it came with a protective cover or sheath rather than being in my kitchen drawer exposed.
