Good little kettle that could use a few improvements

Have enjoyed using this so far. The roller control, though it seems impractical and unusual compared to other kettles, has been fine. I really just make minor adjustments to the temp now and then. The gold plated appearance in the photos is also more silvery in person. On/off touch button is a little unresponsive, but can get it to work. Pour volume is very controllable. For quality, the build is not as sturdy as I was expecting as I can feel it creak a little when I pick it up by the handle and the wall is thin. The handle is comfortable and I don't mind the material. Biggest complaints are that the power cord, which is very thick and sturdy, cannot be detached for more compact storage, and it really is just enough to brew two cups (~500 ml) in a V60. Heating is fast. A bit annoying that it turns off the temp control whenever you remove it, but I can quickly reset that if I wanted to. For those shifting through similar options and looking for a US made or designed product, this is a zeroHero, says so right on the user manual. Also displays "hero" everytime it starts up. I don't mind this since I was considering that brand, and it still seems designed in collaboration with a US brand (turin), but be aware.
