This was a Christmas gift for my son and daughter-in-law who had no board on which to carve the Thanksgiving turkey. It is heavy and good-sized for carving large meats. I assume the Diamond cuts in the center does a good job in holding the meat steady. It’s easy to clean. The channels drain off juices, making carving less messy. I would be glad to keep it for myself if they don’t like it.
Bought for Thanksgiving. Was great size for my 20 lb turkey. Held the turkey steady while carving and cleaned up nicely. Will prob give a coat of mineral oil but after one use looks brand new. Channels good for catching juices and nice to have a flat side if needed. Overall nice sturdy cutting board.
Needed a last minute carving board for Thanksgiving. It is quite solid and sturdy; the textured side is perfect for holding what you are cutting. The channels a a good size to catch all the juices. It is a lovely addition to our kitchen. It is a GREAT deal for the quality!
This was a great addition this year. In years past, I had a carving board with removable stainless steel spikes, unfortunately the board failed after decades of use, so we bought this one to replace it and it did great. The peaks kept the bird from sliding around, and the channels were sufficient for capturing the lost liquid as I carved it. All in all, pretty happy with this purchase !
The board is heavy duty as stated. The gripper side is great for carving your meat holding it in place. The groove is great for catching the juices. And when you flip it over the regular side makes a great cutting board.
Very thick and heavy. Great for Turkeys & Roasts. The top is channeled nicely, so no overflow of juices. Be sure to apply at least two coats of food-grade mineral oil to ensure no cracking or drying of wood
