Keeps Food Cold but Carry in Two Pieces

I used this for a small gathering with cut vegetables and fruit. Filling the bottom with ice kept everything noticeably cooler for over an hour indoors. The removable compartments make prep easy since you can load them in the fridge beforehand.The lid seals well and did not leak during transport. The main drawback is that the rotating base is separate, so you have to carry that piece separately and assemble it on site.It is not dishwasher safe, so hand washing is required. Very versatile!

This is a great thing to have for entertaining or for traveling to events or parties with foods that need to be kept cold. I like that I can prepare everything the day before and put the whole tray into the refrigerator until it is time to put out. If I am bringing it to an event, I can take it out of the fridge and add ice when it is time to leave. The lid seals nicely, and prevents any of the contents or melted ice from spilling out of the bowl. Also, the inserts can be removed altogether without ice to use as a big bowl with the sealed lid. I think this will be my new watermelon bowl this summer.The lid attaches very securely and allows it to be carried by the handles on the lid. However, the rotating tray does not attach to the bottom at all, so it can’t be carried by the lid unless brought separately. It just isn’t convenient to travel with the tray. I love how easy all of it is to clean though. Being made of acrylic, it cannot be placed in the dishwasher, but it doesn’t take long to rinse clean and dry. I am going to get a lot of use out of it.
