We love it!!! My wife is celiac and as much as she used to enjoy uncrustable pb&j’s they are no longer an option. For some reason she likes her pb&j’s better when they are in uncrustable form (childlike wonder, I suppose). I bought this for her in order to mend her despair over it and look how wonderful it worked. It was extremely easy to use, inexpensive, and makes eating her pb&j’s “fun” again.
My son loves to take peanut butter and jelly sandwiches in his lunch box to school. I purchased this to be able to cut and seal his sandwiches so they are perfect for lunch. The sandwich maker is very sturdy, and does a great job of cutting the crust from the bread. It works best with slices that are a little larger as it seals better than with smaller bread slices. I like the square shape, as it seems like I am wasting a lot less of the bread. The only difficulty we seem to have is that sometimes softer bread will get pieces stuck in between the sealing "teeth". If you are washing this by hand, it can be a little difficult to clean between all of the teeth, however if you use a dishwasher, it seems to clean it very well.
Works well enough and is very easy to use, but even with hard pressing, the edges often have to be torn off afterwards. It also doesn't always do a good job of sealing the sandwich all the way around, leaving an open edge on at least one side. It does a decent job overall though. We use ours primarily for pb&j and ham & cheese sandwiches. The kiddo thinks it's fun (more so to watch than to use). It comes with a little brush to help clean, which is helpful because the little crevices do collect crumbs and sometimes filling. The included little filling cutter is a nice addition and really helps to ensure you don't overfill it or make a mess. I would hate to have to do that part by hand. One tip would be to be careful what type of bread you use... I usually just buy the standard store brand sandwich loaf and the slices are a bit too small for a smooth crust removal. It would work better with larger slices of bread. However, then you have more waste. Not a bad way to make uncrustable-style sandwiches at home, just be aware of some of the potential drawbacks.
This makes perfect uncrustables without wasting a lot of bread. Easy to use and clean.
Works incredibly well, the square shape gives much less wasted crust than the circle options. The included inside cutter makes it easy to get meat and cheese the right size to fit inside the sealed part. The sealer work great even if you get some filling there. Super easy to use and the kids love making their own uncrustables.
This sandwich cutter and crimper is just okay. I really appreciate that the square cutter is made of metal—it cuts cleanly and feels durable. However, the crimper doesn’t seal the edges as well as I hoped. It works, but the sandwiches tend to come apart more easily than expected. Overall, it’s functional for quick lunches, but I wish the crimping feature performed better.
These work awesome. My kids absolutely loves it. It called with 2 different shapes. Very easy to clean also.
