Bought this for my elderly parents who insist on having a paper towel holder mounted to the wall. It was super easy to install with the screws and anchors (but I also put it into the studs) and the roll bar can be fully removed, making it much easier to fill and replace paper towel rolls, even if they are the huge Kirkland/Costco brand. It rolls nicely, looks nice, is strong (don't have to worry about pulling on the paper towel), and saves space.
Excelllent! So many paper towel holders are made cheaply and the roll just pulls out. Or they are big bulky and expensive. I bought these for the blue shop towel type paper towels in my garage and work shop and they work very well. The roll doesn't pull out and the removable bar lets you load and unload with super easy. They are attractive enough to use anywhere, strong, and durable. Would definitely buy again.
This is one of the best paper towel holders I have seen. It can be mounted under a cabinet or on a wall. It doesn’t fall apart when you pull a towel off. It’s very sturdy, and looks good! It’s easy to put a new roll on…you just lift the bar up and slide a new roll on, then set the bar back in the cradle.
Overall works well. Recommend using different screws than the ones installed since they're pretty bad quality and strip easily. Bar can be annoying to slide out sometimes but it's not a huge issue
Paper towel holders should be simple, right. One job to do - hold the paper towel roll so that you can easily pull off what you need. Just put it on a rod at a reasonable distance from the wall, allow the roll to spin so that you only need one hand. My one armed one (roll slid over the open end of the rod) shifted and pointed down every time you pulled a sheet off. It got to the point where it was never level, and you needed at least the length of the roll to slide it onto the rod. In a crowded shop, a pain to load. Holder #2 simple bent metal, and you have to bend the two arms in before you stick the rod on every time, or the whole roll would pop off if you pulled too hard. Lovely when it fell into a wet sink. Holder #3 gripped the roll so tightly that you had to use to hands to get a sheet off. Even so the paper towel usually ripped, leaving a corner behind.So I looked here, and found this one. It's simple, it works, the roll spins easily, and it accommodates an oversize roll without bumping the back of the holder. Two mounting systems are supplied. One is a non-penetrating system that uses a clear adhesive backed piece with a short stud sticking out. Its great for mounting on hard surfaces like metal, tile, etc. Peel the back off of the two mounts supplied, stick it on the wall. I would put them on the paper towel holder loosely so that they are lined up and then take the holder off until the adhesive sets. The second is the good old screw mount with two 1" screws, two wall anchors for sheetrock, and two caps to hide screws supplied. Since I was going into wood I just used two black sheetrock screws. The center rod drops into slots on the arms. It fits right in, and the slots are at an angle so that they won't pull out whether mounted on a wall or under a shelf or cabinet. Simple, and about $10
It is well bult and stronger than I thought it would be. I would buy again without hesitation.
I’m putting these up everywhere in my shop. It ends the relentless “where’s the dang roll of paper towels! Simple yet sturdy design. Fast and easy to change out rolls. Oldest one up 2 years with no issues with a bunch of gorillas tearing off towel on a daily basis. Never have had a roll jump off or come out of hanger. Easy to install with the provided options, one of the two will work for you. Great value for your money.
