Beautiful look that’s sturdy enough for everyday use
I love the look of Chinese blue designs on dinnerware, but the fragile nature of so much china dinnerware always makes me hesitant to use any such plates. These melamine plates are a really good solution, offering the look of the more delicate patterns on a plate that is impervious to the stresses of daily use. I’ve used them once a day since getting them a few weeks ago, and that use has included banging the plates against the cabinet door or counter, dropping one occasionally to the countertop, and washing once or twice a day (while these are dishwasher safe, I always hand wash all my kitchen ware). With all of that use and abuse, they still look brand new. There’s been zero fading of the gold accents, no loss or fading of the blues, and no yellowing or scratching on the white parts. These plates give a stellar presentation far above and beyond this price point, making it super easy and frugal to make meals a special presentation every day. I love them!
