    I worked for 1 1/2 yr in a meat Dept back 55 yrs ago in high school.. did a lot of boning and cubing. This unit is not anything like the cuber we had back then, they had real sharp Knife blade in those units. Could not sell anything like that today cause someone these days would get their hand caught in it and be mangled really bad.... This attachment does do a great job at cubing. Its limited on how thick the meat is but it still is a lot better than Beating meat with a pounding tool.. We usually buy 2 full pork loins and 1 eye of the round roast at a time.. Used to take me about an hr just to pound that 20#s of meat out.. The first time I use this I was all done, cut, cubed, and wrapped in about 30 mins.. Plus I didn't get a sore arm the next day.. Definitely would buy again .. read instructions.. "dont" put frozen meat though it ..

    It doesnt work as well as expected

    Used for tenderizing less tender cuts of steaks for cubed steaks. Not very satisfactory even after running meat through several times. I have all of the Kitchen Aide Parts and this is the only one I have found to be less than great... and the rubberized mixer paddle. I love my mixer and make bread in it every week as well as cookies, cakes etc and use all the other attachments often as well. I have had my bowl lift mixer for years and love love love it. I even have extra steel bowls for a really busy day.

    Surprising Little Attachment

    I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly and easily this processes an entire eye of round for chicken fried steak. I opted not to use the safety guard, so was very mindful and attentive when using the attachment. It seems sturdy and well-made so far. Washing was a breeze as well! I simply ran under hot water to get any little meat hitchhikers off the rollers, and then placed on the top rack of the dishwasher.
