One handed, and holds a good charge!

We have had manual grinders for the last 8 years, didnt even know electric existed until a year or two ago, but I'm glad they do!These actually came charged which is great, I also love that these are rechargeable. I have had them for two weeks already and have not needed to recharge them yet.With littles in the house I was a bit worried about them getting their fingers caught in the grinder while spinning. (Manual ones take two hands, they can't operate it and possibly get their fingers in the grinder.) But the grinder is set back enough that this isn't an issue!I love that there is a light as sometimes when grinding it might be in a low lit atmosphere, and sometimes you might not be able to see all the salt.There are 5 different settings for how course or fine you want your salt and pepper. Switching that is super easy for big and little hands. even if you dont have a strong grip.If unable to pinch I can see refilling it being an issue. Older hands or smaller hands could find difficulting pinching with a finger and thumb and turning it as it does require a little bit of pressure. However the lip is wide and easy to refill with a clear 'max fill' line.The view window it large enough that I will know when I need to check the cupboard to order more if needed.The charger is not an issue and wont be stored on the counter but could be if needed.

Very Nice and Sturdy Grinders. For More Than Salt and Pepper.

This is a very good looking pair of spice grinders that can be used for more than just salt and pepper. Just remember that the size of the spices to be ground should be about the same size as a peppercorn or so (Pink Sea Salt, bits of allspice, mustard seed, etc.)The grinders themselves look to be quite sturdy, I expect them to last a good while. They are rechargeable and come boxed with the charger and cable (but no power supply). The LED light is fairly weak but will provide enough illumination if you're working at the grill in the dark. It's not going to help if you're already in your kitchen unless the power is off.I've seen a set of similar grinders priced well above what they are asking for this pair so I'd say it's a good value overall.Regarding the grind settings and output, I'm pretty happy with the number of options available (there are 5 grind settings total) and the course grind gives you good sized chunks while the finest setting is fairly powdery.The amount of you get is not equal to something like the Unicorn pepper mill (which is like a shotgun of pepper) but it is sufficient for my use. Takes about 4-5 seconds or so to get 1/2 or 3/4 of a teaspoon of pepper.All in all, a worthy pair of automatic grinders.

Great looking upgraded S&P

I upgraded to these grinders after using mismatched S&P holders for a while, and they've completely convinced me they're worth it.They hold a ton of S&P so it will be months before I need to refill, and the hidden filling opening is angled in a way that makes pouring salt or pepper in super easy without spilling it all over the counter. with six different grind settings—I can go from fine powder for seasoning soups and such to chunky pieces for steaks, and the grinder handles super hard peppercorns without jamming up.One thing that really makes these nice is that they're rechargeable—the base charges both grinders at the same time and catches all the little bits of peeper that always end up on the counter or table. Also, no batteries. They also have a little LED light built in that turns on when you're grinding, which sounds like a small thing but it's actually really helpful when I'm cooking at night or grilling outside - WINNING. One thing I didnt expect to like so much was the one-hand use - again is perfect when I'm busy cooking, and they look cool enough that I just leave them out on the counter instead of hiding them in a cabinet. 5 out of 5.
