    This was literally a snap to use! It snaps into place in about 5 seconds and you're off and mixing. Don't get worried that you'll break it; it's made of high quality plastic. Make sure you get the one that fits your particular mixer and that's all there is to it! I made cookies this afternoon and it was so great, no mess to clean from spilled flour, it just slides right into the bowl along with the sugar, eggs, and all the other goodies that you place in its wide mouth. I love it, and the best part was that it wasn't very expensive at all! When I got done, I threw it into the dishwasher and walked away with a cookie in my mouth.

    Wasn't for me

    Read carefully. This is for a "Lift" stand mixer. Will not work for a "Tilt" Stand Mixer. I have a 5 quart tilt stand mixer and it's a little under the 9" diameter and would not work. If you have a Lift type, I'm sure this would be ideal for you. Just be sure to read all of the specs in the listing on it before buying.

    Mess Free Baking

    This kitchenaid pouring shield fits perfectly on my 5.5 quart kitchenaid mixer. It is easy to clip it on and off once I got the hang of it. It also moves around freely so it was easy for me to slide it to another angle incase I need to pour something in differently.I wish that the pouring opening was a little bigger though. The length size is perfect but the width is a little smaller in my opinion as it was a little difficult for me to use a measuring cup of 1 to pour.Overall, this still a great product to have for keeping my kitchen clean when baking.
