This item was a perfect fit for my 10yrs old Kitchenaid mixer. Its working like a breeze! You will need food grade grease for this repair work and dont need to detach any electrical wires from unit.
Good quality. Glad it was a pack of 2 so I have an extra if I break it again.
Only reason it's getting four stars not five is because the true Testament of durability will be time Period The gear was made well tolerances are tight And Material quality seems to be good Period Buying the two pack for this price was convenient as I was able to zip tie the extra gear up inside the stand It is quite secure and whenever the replacement gear breaks I have an additional ready to go. Getting the pin out of that gear was not easy
Work perfectly with the KitchenAid StandMixer.$9 fix for a $300 repair as long as you don't mind spending 30 minutes to take apart the machine.These gears are designed to fail to protect the more expensive components.You can learn how to assess and replace via Youtube videos
I read up on this Kitchen Aid gear. Its made to strip to protect metal gears. Kitchen Aid knew they had a problem and came out with a updated gear. But looking everywhere I could not find factory gear under $35. Of course, Amazon has a 100 Chinese made ones. Reading all reviews they all seemed to fail short hours. These seemed less 1 stars also you get two. Install per YouTube video. gear failed on first run. I didn't bother installing second one. I did find a factory gear vat the Amazon Whirlpool store. Don't Know if it is the updated gear or original but is working paid $13. Don't order any of these Chinese gears and waste your time. Update returned and only got 2 days to send back UPS instead of Kohls ? stuck with them
Unlike description - does not fit KitchenAid - misses by less than a mm
