I didn't know I needed this until....I received this for Christmas and started to use it several times a day. I like the stirring tool, it breaks up and helps to level the grounds. The ring that sits atop the portafilter is useful to not make a mess. But I would say that the filter disk is the most useful for making a real great cup. My friend that bought this for me, took the hint that I wanted it, that is how I got this for Christmas.If you want to up your espresso making skill then you could do much, much worse then this good product.

Easy and stays out of the way

It works as intended! Better tasting espresso!
It does what it's designed to do. I have noticed my coffee floes through the portafilter more evenly, less channeling for a better extracted shot, resulting in better tasting espresso's and coffee. I like that it has magnets in the stand to keep it off the counter, one less thing to move out of the way when cleaning up those spilled coffee grinds. Comes with extra needles in case you bend them, so I find it to be of good value for the money.
