I was skeptical but now believe
When I first saw the design of this utensil, rest, I was a bit skeptical. However, now that I have had it and used it in my kitchen, I can truthfully say it is my favorite one. I love that the lid on the pan can rest on there as the condensation drips into the holder. This alone makes it an award winner for me. I also like that the spoons can rest in various orientations. Spoon & Lid Rest
Before finding this, I just used the typical spoon shaped rest. That worked okay but I like that this had multiple uses. The fact that it also stores a lid when not in use is perfect. And, there is enough of a lip on the rest that the water from the lid doesn't go everywhere.The size is great for larger ladles and spatulas. It rests at enough of an angle that everything drips in the bottom instead of your counters.The material is nice. Cleanup is easy. Definitely an upgrade from the ones that lay flat on your counter.

Upright Stovetop Spoon and Lid Rest
This spoon rest/lid rest is super handy to have. I tested this on my smaller pot lids as well as a large dutch oven lid, my microwave splatter guard as well as various kitchen utensils and it works extremely well. It holds utensils in multiple directions keeping them clean and sanitary while you are cooking. The matte white finish washed up quickly by hand, but I believe this would be dishwasher safe if you wish to throw it in there.

Finally a spoon rest that actually holds a ladle
I make a lot of soups and stews, and my old flat spoon rest always let the ladle roll off onto the counter. This one is taller and has a nice deep lip, so my heavy utensils actually stay put and the drips stay contained. The matte white finish looks really clean and modern next to my stove.
