JUNK!

This unit is entirely cheap plastic. It took at least twice as long to core the pineapple as with my previous stainless steel unit (replacing it because the handle broke). Even the separate included unit for cutting the rings into wedges is poor quality plastic that tore the pineapple when trying to cut with it. Have had this item in my possession for about 2 hours, it will not be in my residence when the sun goes down today - I would rather use a simple paring knife to prepare a pineapple (as I did ages ago) than this less than acceptable item!

THE BEST Pineapple Corer!!!

I was watching America's Test Kitchen and they were rating pineapple slicer/corer devices. My husband and I have upward of 25 pineapple plants so I was very interested to find out what they recommended. The Vacu Vin slicer/corer won hands down!! When I found it on Amazon for $9.99 I had to get it. It works great! As you can see in the video, it takes no time at all to completely core and slice the pineapple! Pineapples are difficult and messy to core and slice by hand, but no more, the Vacu Vin is magical and does it with ease. We were amazed at how well it works and I highly recommend it. I'd give it more than 5 stars if I could!!!

Fast and Easy

I was not sure if a plastic pineapple corer would work well. I was surprised and how easy it was to use and it actually was quicker on the job. My other corer would slip. This one actually works well and nearly 100% of the time I have enough juice to pour into a little cup to share the tasty pineapple juice. The slicer also works very well.

VERY DISAPPOINTED

I watched the video before ordering the exact same brand. It ruined my pineapple. It would only go down 1/4 of the pineapple turning it into a huge mushy but juicy mess. The pineapple she used in the video was green so I'm assuming that's why it appeared to go thru smoothly. I'm returning it ASAP!!
