Compact, Versatile, Simple
I've been thinking of getting a toaster oven or air fryer for a while, but living alone in a small apartment made it hard to justify two extra kitchen appliances when I had a perfectly good oven. But then I saw this pop up, and I figured I'd give it a try.First impressions: it is a pleasantly compact unit, and it barely takes up more counter space than a conventional toaster. As for capacity, it'll fit about 4 slices of bread. The manual recommends a quick clean and test cycle to make sure the unit is working properly. It did initially give off a plastic-y smell but after a few toast cycles that has disappeared.I was a bit surprised with how much noise this makes; it's not loud, about the same amount of noise as a microwave. The fan runs regardless of which cook mode you use. While some may lament the lack of "smart" features on this unit, I am quite pleased that all the controls are simple tactile knobs. The simplicity of it gives me hope that this unit will last a long time. The overall build quality is decent, about what I expected given the price.Despite the simple controls, this does have 6 different cook modes. So far I've used the toaster, roaster and air frying functions and have been pleased with the results. If you're only cooking for yourself, this could easily be a substitute for an oven. The heat it can put out is impressive and effective, though I have noted it's a little uneven. The areas closest to the interior walls seem to cook the fastest. It should also be noted that the exterior of the unit gets hot when running, so be careful what you place on or near the unit. The manual does state that it should have 4 inches on each side and 6 inches abov the unit for safe operation (the vent fan is at the back and pumps excess hot air straight up.)Oh, BTW this is rated at 1500w, so it only uses about half as much power as the oven in my apartment. All in all, I think this is a solid appliance at a very reasonable price. Thanks to its compact size and multiple modes, I think this would be a fantastic option for spaces like dorm room kitchenettes, camper vans or tiny homes.

almost perfect small oven
I have only used 3 of this ovens functions to date. I have tried bake, reheat and toast. It reheated pizza very well (much better than a microwave) as it did in cooking a small Red Barron pizza. I got mixed results with the toast function. The top of the toast was perfect but the flipside was much lighter though still toasted. I'm sure it was due to me having the crumb catcher in place. Next time I will remove it to see if it's any better. It is also slower at toasting the bread than my regular toaster especially when you consider it needs to be preheated. The pictures I included with toast was 3 minutes in a preheated oven. It will accommodate 4 slices of bread. This is a very attractive small oven and it looks good on my countertop. I like that it has knobs instead of a digital screen. All of the functions are clearly listed and easy to use. You almost don't need to consult the instruction manual, it's use is that intuitive, though I advise that you do so because the cooking racks need to be in different positions depending on which function your using. When in use the oven light automatically comes on and shuts off when the timer is done. I haven't had to seriously clean it yet but the crumb catcher keeps the bottom pretty clean, in any case it looks very easy to clean especially if your just wiping it out. The sides and glass door of this oven get very hot when in use so I'd use caution letting children use it and also with placing things that will melt up against it. My counter top did not get overly hot from using it. I also like the design of the handle lets the door rest flat on the counter top, I had a previous one that didn't and was a pain to use. The build quality is ok and is typical of what you get now days with small appliances. There are times when I don't want to use my regular oven to reheat one slice of pizza and this small oven is perfect for those type situations. My overall impression is that it is an attractive unit, functions well and would be a good toaster oven to consider if your in the market for one.
