If there were six stars available for this raring, this dinnerware set would qualify for that.I have several vancasso sets pf plates, bowls, etc., mostly in their Bohemian style that is unbelievably colorful with flawless execution. The colors and patterns are unique and the resulting ceramic is dense, heavy and extremely resilient. The finish is impermeable and very hard to resist scratching over many years of daily use. That dense ceramic construction and deep glaze is oven, microwave, freezer and dishwasher safe.All those features make this dinnerware super-easy to maintain, clean and use without undue degradation. We have used glass dinnerware in the past that can become very scratched up in less than ten years of use. I cannot personally attest to the longevity of these because all of my vancasso has been sourced in the last two years, however, I EXPECT a long life due to the density and deep hard surface glaze.But the main attraction is those beautiful colors and patterns. They are all different but they play well together. To my they are actually individual woks of art, but I can't bear to use them for only display. Using them for meals is the most fun because most visitors will ask where we got the beautiful service.We have some other stuff in vancasso's Selene pattern that is a little more formal. But bottom line, the Boho stuff is extraordinary in terms of color and patterns.This set is expensive, but it will be just as bright and clear 150 years from now. amortizing the price over the period of expected usefulness and longevity , that price is not out of line.

Colorful
These colors are so vibrant and full of life. The details are insane. Such great quality, very sturdy, they have some weight to them but nothing dramatic. They are stunning. Not gonna lie I was scared to put them in the dishwasher but I did immediately after receiving as I was not going to wash every single piece by hand. They handles the washer with flying colors. Patter still intact. I tend to keep items with patterns away from the dishwasher as I have seen a few disappear but these so far so good. I have been using them every night since I got them and they are still as the 1st day. Not sure about the microwave as I don't use one. The price is a bit high but honestly I think these are worth it. I got the 18pc set, 6 entree plates, 6 dessert plates and 6 bowls , I would have loved for this set to include mugs. Bet the mugs would be just as beautiful. 3 choices, 12pc, 18pcs and 24pcs. Absolutely in love with them. Great gift idea for a house warming, or just updating your kitchen.
