Porcelain is high quality and dishwasher safe!!
These are gorgeous, colorful and high quality. They are porcelain, which is a denser, more sturdy type of ceramic. The bowls are dishwasher safe and microwave safe. That really means that you can use them in the microwave and it won't harm the bowl. I do not know if that means it is safe for the food you are heating up. I rarely use the microwave so I don't mind not knowing those details. I mostly cared about dishwasher safe since I hate washing dishes by hand.They are colorful and bright and cheery. You can actually get the other pieces to the set if you look on the seller's Amazon site.They are pricey. Definitely not entry level pieces, but more boho / chic and very colorful. I keep mentioning that but I LOVE color. I hate the drab dull plain colors.

Gorgeous, good volume, fairly light
This are extremely pretty--much nicer than I thought they'd be. I kept taking them out of the box and thinking "THIS one is my favorite... no THIS one... no..." So far they've made it through the oven, microwave, and dishwasher without cracking, chipping, or losing any paint.They're also much lighter than my old ceramic bowls and hold the same volume--enough that you can microwave a can of Campbell's vegetable soup, even after adding another can of water, and toss in an ounce or two of pepperjack cheese cubes afterwards. Not as thin / light as Corelle but pretty close--maybe twice as heavy. Seems like the porcelain heats and cools quickly without a problem.I like these so much I went to see if they sold sets.

These bowls are worth every penny! They are so much better in real life and are vibrant! I pictured a couple close up so you can see how well the design looks. I have this brand in their pasta bowl size as well, so the last picture is a comparison between their pasta and cereal bowl sizes in case you were shopping for any size bowl. The only bad thing, the stickers they use on bowl identification, dont come off easily, but since you can run these through the dishwasher, they'll come off then!

Gorgeous Colors, Thick Porcelain, Microwave Safe
I wasn’t sure I wanted to try these as a replacement to my cereal bowls because they are made of porcelain, but I’m glad I did. These aren’t dainty, they are all-purpose, solid bowls that are beautifully designed in patterns reminiscent of the Middle East or Italy. And they aren’t just cereal bowls, I can use them as ingredient bowls for taco night with our large family.If you watch the video, you will hear how the porcelain “rings” when I tap it. Some of the bowls are a higher matching pitch, some are lower. This seems to indicate they are done in different batches, but look completely uniform. The glaze is also high gloss and thin enough to see a little of the texture of the different colors. One bowl came with an information double stamp that is offset (photo), but none of the sides look that way.These would be a lovely gift, and they are packed well to prevent breakage. I only feel comfortable stacking them 3 high in my cupboard, so they will take up a bigger footprint. However, not all my bowls work in my microwave, so I will be replacing their spot in the cupboard. I haven’t tried freezing them yet, so I cannot speak to their durability for that.
