Beautiful and thoughtfully designed
I prefer loose leaf teas whenever possible, but I usually just drink one cup at a time. So pulling out a large teapot and separate strainer is kind of a pain.First - this mug is beautiful! The material is fine but not fragile and the painting is very pretty. It came well packaged.On to the function- I love the size of the strainer basket. I washed out the cup and brewed some tea as soon as I got it. The mesh is fine so no particles leak out and it washed up beautifully afterwards without staining. It is white inside so it may stain if you leave tea sitting in it accidentally? But based on the finish I expect that if you take care of it, you can keep it looking brand new for a very long time.I especially love how the lid does double duty to keep your tea warm, and as a place to set the strainer. That is a very thoughtful touch.The only possible downside I can see is that it’s a tad expensive. That said, it’s beautifully crafted, a generous size, totally functional and I think I may start collecting this style of mug. When we have family or friends over, it’s just so much easier to use our hot water kettle, give everyone their own setup and let them choose the tea they want and how strong they want to make it.Overall very pleased and this would make a beautiful gift for a tea lover as well.
