A great alternative to using a pizza stone.
This is a great alternative to using a pizza stone. It's especially good for making thin pizza crusts crispy, and it's much easier to clean than a pizza stone. This pizza plate retains almost all of the oven heat, even after the oven heat has been lowered. It's a great cooking tool to have if you make your own pizza, but works just as well if you throw a frozen pizza on it. I highly recommend this product.

Great pizza steel for the price
This is a must have for cooking home made pizza in a conventional oven. We were using a pizza stone that finally cracked after 20 years of use. This new pizza steel is heavy, but fits in our oven perfectly (GE Monogram). It works very well to heat of up the pizza crust evenly, and retains heat for mutiple pies. It is very easy to clean, with just a quick wipe off after using (and cooling off). We can even bake 2 smaller pies with this size steel, offering great baking capacity. Overall, this is a very good stell for the price.

Great pizza steel!
I've been using this for about 6? months now and it's making consistently great pizza. Crisps up the bottom of each pie nicely. It's nice and heavy, and perfect thickness and size for my home-oven pizza adventures. Be sure to dry it really really well after cleaning it (maybe even put it in the oven and turn it up to 250 for 15 minutes or so so that it can thoroughly dry to avoid rusting.

After our 3rd or 4th pizza stone broke, I decided to buy a pizza steel instead.This thing is a beast- it weighs a lot (they sell thinner ones but I wanted this one). In the few weeks I've had it, I've used it to make several pizzas and I baked bread on it. Very happy with the results.If you get one, just make sure to let it heat up longer than it takes the oven to heat up. Maybe an extra 20-30 minutes.I don't leave it in the oven when not using it- I just put it into the drawer below the oven.Very happy with my purchase.
