These blue plates are beautiful. I wanted an 8" plate for small meals. I also wanted a plate with a raised edge; not as deep or curved like a bowl and these are perfect. They are well packaged, sturdy, and of very good quality. I think these are a good value for my money. I'm thinking about replacing my dinner plates and bowls with the Vicrays' set.

These plates are beautifully made & a sturdy thickness for ceramic! I love how rich the color came out & they match the bowls I bought to pair with. Nothing was broken & it they came with a thank you card as well to report any damage or missing items.
We ordered these plates along with the 10” plates and bowls to make a little set. I really like how each piece differs just slightly, which really gives it a quality, handmade look. Also, the part you eat off of is very flat, which is convenient because condiments stay put and don’t just run to the middle like they did with our old plates.

I ordered these exact plates, at least with the same product description, in 2023. The 2023 iteration had more pronounced graphics (less faded and more dynamic inlaid effects), as well as more sturdiness as the ceramic was thicker. Each plate weighs more. The newer iteration is thinner and the paint work isn’t as dynamic (as I’ve stated). They are still fine 8 inch appetizer or starter plates, but next to the older model they look a bit cheaper as in quality not price. I’m giving them a 4, but would have given them a 5 if I didn’t have the earlier version to compare and contrast. Knowledge can be power and it can also lead to slight disappointment. That said they’ll suffice.
