I broke one! 😁
I was immediately impressed when I unboxed these (six, 9.5 oz) glasses. I purchased them because I take my daily juices (prune, grapefruit + lemon, tomato/vegetable, and tart cherry) in 8oz increments, and I'd decided that it was time to replace my aging stable of 10 oz plastic tumblers (due to concerns about BPA and scuff marks, etc.)The first thing I noticed about these glasses was that they were individually wrapped in thin foam sheeting, and each one was in its own cardboard 'cubby' inside the box (which was shipped [from Amazon] inside a larger box). They're thick & hefty, obviously well made (no visible seams or blemishes of any kind), easy to handle, and *perfect* for an eight ounce serving whatever of beverage you want them to hold.Earlier today though, I absentmindedly set one of my new glasses on a dish towel near my kitchen sink (while I was washing my dishes), and a few minutes later I carelessly reached over and grabbed the dish towel. (Yup, it was a textbook Boneheaded Play. 😆)But here's the thing: I have thick ceramic tile flooring in my kitchen, and before my glass met its untimely end on my kitchen floor, it BOUNCED. Just once, but I thought that was REALLY cool (if I'd been a wee bit quicker I might've saved it), and I decided it was a story worth sharing with anyone who's considering buying these. In the mean time, I think I'll get by okay with my remaining 5 glasses (if I'm more careful 🙄), but if/whenever I decide I need more, I know where I can find them.🙃
