Care was taken in packaging (with recyclable material) to prevent shipping damage. Your package arrives whole. Nice enough that I use them for small serving bowls as well as pasta and salad. Inexpensive enough to use often.
I’ve been using Wilmax deep dish for over 5 years now and they are an absolutely joy to use for every meals, from soup, pasta, rice dish, salad, risotto, etc. The deep dishes are extremely versatile and add a touch of elegance to everyday meals.So I’ve decided to add to my collection with V&B. I’ve never used Villeroy & Boch before, except a family member has a decent collection and I thought they look just as durable as Wilmax.These are indeed quality ceramic, beautiful and just as versatile as what I’ve been using. They are not white, but a light beige color with a fine, ring-shaped relief, like sun rays. It has a subtly elevated rim and concealed base, almost exudes a floating appearance! I absolutely love these. I personally wouldn’t classify these as “bowls” because they are lean towards what I called slightly deep dish. You could serve simple soup like tomatoes, cucumber, etc. but not sure if you want to serve clam chowder, minestrone, etc in these because they are definitely in the shallow side for those.For size, these are just a tad slightly larger than what I’ve been using with the Wilmax, but I think they give that extra “room” to add a few final decorations to the dish, which would be wonderful for special occasions.I’m glad I purchased these. Each bowl came in individually wrapped and boxed with plenty of paper packaging that truly help protect them during transit and handling.Highly recommended items!
