I was raised on Raclette, we had it growing up every year for Christmas, and as an adult I kept the tradition with my family, I passed it along to my adult daughter. My husband and I still have it. When I needed a new one, I figured let's get the one with the hot stone. To be honest I expected it to be larger, so it's a little on the small size (when we have company we need to bring out a second one) The quality is good, it heats well and the smoke level is normal.

Exactly what we were looking for!

We got this for Christmas and already used it twice!Once to do breakfast and once as an actual raclette with the cheese!It worked great for both. We did get a heat resistance mat as a precaution however I don't think it was necessary. You can touch the bottom of the machine and it is not hot even after the machine is on for an hour on high.Definitely recommend and would buy again as a gift.
