Decent knife. Not as sharp as expected
I have ordered several knives from this company and have loved them all, this one is no exception. Super sharp, easy to clean. This particular model is the largest one I have tried. It is great for cutting larger items but has a super sharp blade that quickly and delicately can slice through a grape tomato without turning it into mush. The only caveat I have with them is that I wish they would put sturdier metal or wood handles on them instead of plastic. Over time the color can wear off and my oldest ones have a few cracks in them. But the blades themselves are still in great shape.
Sorry, folks. I have owned numerous Kyocera ceramic knives and these competitors are just a pale (and lousy) imitation that are not worthwhile in any way. They aren’t that sharp to begin with, and like most ceramic knives there is no practical and effective way to sharpen them at home. The good thing about Kyocera knives is that they are among the sharpest in the world when they arrive, and they hold that edge quite well if you don’t abuse them. (Do NOT use a ceramic knife to pry - - it can snap the blade. Also do not cut into hard materials such as bone. They are ideal for veggies, most fish, and soft, boneless meat.) When you’ve used your knives for a couple of years, you can choose to send them off and get them re-sharpened for about $15 a knife, or just replace them. But these imitation knives are not sharp to begin with and never will be. A complete waste of time and money as far as I am concerned.
Over priced. Chips easily.
I enjoy a good knife and have collected many, but this seems to be all the metal knives I have purchased
