Fit my KSM150PSMC perfectly.
My wife was making rolls for easter when the mixer stopped turning. If I moved it a little manually, it would take off again but then fail before making a full turn. After one search it was apparent that this was an extremely common issue and this part is actual built to fail to save the motor. I didn't even bother taking the mixer apart to diagnose it and just ordered this part and some extra food grade grease.I watched a couple videos on how to take it apart and then took mine apart. All the videos said that there is a ton of extra grease in these machines even after taking out the contaminated portions with the shredded gear mixed in it. They are correct, don't bother buying extra grease if this is your first time doing this. My worm gear looked exactly like the worn out one in the videos where 4 or 6 teeth from the gear were just completely worn away. Now I saw where there is also a complete worm gear assembly you could buy instead of just the gear. It takes 3 screws to replace the entire assembly and the pictures of the replacement one looked exactly like mine minus the brass part. The 3 screws for the housing are easy but you have to clean up the assembly after you remove it. Then there is a little pin to get the gear out. Getting the pin out was fine. Replacing the gear was fine. For some reason getting that little pin all the way back in was a nightmare for me. I finally did a go-for-broke-and-fullout-muscle-it because if I broke it, I would just order the full replacement housing. My last all out attempt finally set the pin flush just like before. I don't know if I will be able to get it out again if I ever need to use the second replacement gear.I put everything back together and used the remaining grease to re-grease the assembly again. The mixer now operates normally. Even if I would have given up on the gear replacement and purchased the fully assembled worm gear housing, I would have still spent only around a tenth of what it would cost to replace the mixer.
