Love these knives.

I bought this knife to add to my original set of 4 knives.These knives are incredibly sharp and they hold a good edge for a long time. I have a sharpening stone that I will use when needed, but after two months of use, they are still razor sharp. In contrast, our old knives would dull quickly.We always wash and dry the knives immediately after use, and these should never be put in the dishwasher or sink. We have seen no signs of rust, but we treat these knives properly.The wood handles and the Damascus steel are beautiful. We have them hanging on a magnetic wooden knife holder. The handles are natural wood and my original set of four are a slightly darker color than this knife, but not enough to matter. If you want them to match perfectly, order them all as a set.The size and shape of the handles are perfect. I love the way they feel and I love the way they cut.

Great size!

Like the Santoku's and Nakiri's, but not a fan of the 7" versions - this 5 inch blade is perfect for chopping, dicing, slicing, etc. The Damascus pattern is attractive, but the VG10 core is a winner - capable of taking a very fine edge and holding it for a long time. Might prefer G10 or phenolic as a handle material, but you're not supposed to immerse knives when washing or put them in the dishwasher anyway, so wood is fine.
