For years I have used a set of tongs from the dollar store. I got these because I wanted to protect non-stick surfaces on cookware. Oh, my, what a difference!1) Lock is fantastic. Stores so much easier.2) Very easy to grasp food items and hold securely.3) Sturdy and well constructed with smooth edges.4) Sizes are very useful for different applications.5) Love the silicone grips. Definitely adds to functionality.Would definitely recommend.

I've seen reviews about cleaning ,All tongs have basically the same designIf your a messy cook like me , yes they can take time to clean , the design adds strength to flip racks of ribs. Or brisket without bending. So I'm happyI'd will buy agin when needed. But I feel that will be awhile
I bought these to replace some cheaper, flimsy tongs that were dangerous to use when cooking. These are sturdy, well-designed, and easy to lock and unlock. The size variety is nice too. I find myself using the smallest tongs far more than I thought I would.
